Reverse X is yet to be observed with any die markers.

Comments:  Variety 22 was first identified by Bob DeLean, who listed the above plate coin for sale during early July 2016.  Bob was extremely kind in allowing me to use his images to illustrate 1862 variety 22 for this book.

Reverse X will exhibit weakness of strike in the denticle area between 6:30 and 7:30 due to the increased demand for metal to fill the void of the obverse 24 break.

Plate coin:  Bob DeLean, ANACS AU55
