Die Cracks From 5:30 and 5:45

Die Crack From 8:00

Obverse 33 is observed with date placement at RE.

Reverse AG is rotated 8 degrees counter clockwise and develops the followng die cracks:
1.  Heavy die cracking in the right wreath between 1:00 and 3:30, with die cracks from the rim to wreath at 1:00, 2:00 and 3:30.
2.  Die cracks from 5:30 and 5:45 into the base of the ribbon knot.
3.  Die crack from the rim at 8:00 through the olive leaves.

Comments:  Reverse AG is characterized by heavy, distinctive die cracking within the right wreath between 1:00 and 3:30.  The die crack from the rim at 1:00 is very heavy and creates a bilevel field in this area.  A later die state of Reverse AG may yield a break between 1:00 and 2:00 based on the severity of the present die state.

Variety 31 was first identified by this author during early March 2018.
