Comments:
Variety 29 is the second die pairing of Obverse 40, which was
previously in service paired with Reverse AAR during the 1864 Bronze Variety 27 die pairing.
During the Variety 29 die pairing, Obverse 40 continues to
degrade with the die flow lines, rim break at 5:30 and the associated
radial die crack at 5:30 becoming more severe.
Variety 29 was identified by this author during early January 2018.
