Obverse 43 is observed with date placement at C, rim breaks between 7:30 and 10:30 and a clash mark in front of the face of Miss Liberty from a clashing event with Reverse AAAC.  Obverse 43 has developed moderately heavy to heavy die flow lines.

Reverse AAAC is in a similar die state as Obverse 43, with the advancement of moderately heavy to heavy die flow lines.  Reverse AAAC has acquired clash marks through (C)ENT, above and to the left of (O)NE and to the right of the denomination from a clashing event with Obverse 43.  Reverse AAAC develops the following die cracks:
1.  Die crack from the rim at 7:00 into the arrow quill.
2.  Heavy die crack from the rim at 8:00 upward through the left wreath and into the rim at 9:00.
3.  Die crack from the denticles at 9:45 into the left wreath.
4.  Die crack from the rim at 11:15 downward into the left wreath.

Comments:   Variety 31 was first identified by this author during mid December 2016, with the discovery example grading F12.  During late June 2019, Rick Snow offered a mint state example that I preferred to use as the plate coin for Variety 31.  I am aware of two other examples gradng between XF and AU, though Rick's example is the finest know thus far.

All examples of Variety 31 seen by this author exhibit the heavy die crack between 8:00 and 9:00.  I have yet to see Reverse AAAC develop a break in this area, though I certainly expect to find Reverse AAAC with a break in a subsequent die state.
