Rev. AO.2 Cud between 9:30 and 11:00

Obverse 38 is observed with  date placement at RE.

Reverse AAO is rotated 5 degrees clockwise, is observed with an artifact from the lower left side of the shield and has developed heavy die cracking between 9:30 and 11:00.
Rev. AO.2:  Reverse AO has now developed a cud between 9:30 and 11:00.

Comments:  The Reverse AAO die break was first identified in the book 'The Design Cud', by Paul Marvin & Arnold Margolis.  The Marvin & Margolis reference number is 1C-1864-1R.

Reverse AAO will exhibit weakness of strike on the right side due to working die misalignment.

During mid May 2021, David Killough submitted an example of Variety 14 with Reverse AO exhibiting an earlier die state of Reverse AO, with heavy die cracking between 9:30 and 11:00.  David's discovery provides an important insight into how Reverse AO cracked prior to the formation of the Reverse AO.2 cud.
