Obverse 13 is identified by date placement at B and lint hub-throughs in front of the eye, cheek and to the right of the mouth.

Reverse M has acquired a clash mark through the C of CENT and develops the following die cracks:
1.  Die crack within the right wreath between 2:30 and 3:00.
2.  Die crack from the rim at 9:00 into the left wreath.
3.  Die crack from the rim at 11:00 downward through the left wreath.
Rev. M.2:  Reverse M has developed a cud between 9:30 and 11:00.

Comments:  Though Obverse 13 appears to exhibit die scratches, they are actually lint hub-throughs.  These lint hub-throughts are the result of lint artifacts caught between the working hub and working die during the hubbing process.

Variety 13a was first identified by this author during late February 2018.
