Reverse O Die Crack Between 1:00 and 2:15

Reverse O.2 Retained Cud Between 1:00 and 2:15

Reverse O.3 Cud Between 1:00 and 2:15


Obverse 15 is observed with date placement at RE.  Obverse 15 has acquired a clash mark in front of the eye of Miss Liberty from a clashing event with Reverse O.

Reverse O has acquired a clash mark through (C)ENT from a clashing event with Obverse 15.  Reverse O has developed the following die cracks:
1.  Heavy die crack between 1:00 and 2:15.
2.  Die crack from the rim at 3:30 upward into the right wreath.
Rev. O.2:  Reverse O has developed a retained cud between 1:00 and 2:15.
Rev. O.3:  The retained cud is now absent, which allows metal to fill the void left behind and resulting in a cud.

Comments:  Variety 15a and Variety 15b were first identified by this author during mid November 2016 and mid April 2017, respectively.
