Obverse 18 is observed with date placement at RH.  Obverse 18 has acquired clash marks and has developed die cracking, as well as rim breaks located at 12:15 and 2:00

Reverse R is rotated 6 degrees counter clockwise and is observed with hub-through artifacts located within the vertical shield bars and a long hub-through artifact located within the upper section of the right wreath. Reverse R has acquired heavy clash marks and has developed die cracking.

Comments:  Variety 19 represents the second usage of Obverse 18, which was previously in service paired with Reverse Q during the 1867 Variety 18 Die Pairing.

Variety 19 was first identified by David Killough, who submitted the above plate coin during mid May 2021 for inclusion in this book based on the die cracking of Obverse 18 and Reverse R.
