Reverse F Die Crack Mapping

Obverse 8 is identified by date repunching to the south under the base of the 1 and within the upper loop as well as under the base of the 8.

Reverse F is rotated 5 degrees clockwise and develops the following die cracks:
1.  Die crack from the rim at 12:30 into the right side of the shield.
2.  Die crack from the denticles at 2:15 downward through the right wreath.
3.  Die crack from the denticles at 9:00 downward through the left wreath.

Comments:  Obverse 8 is very similar to Obverse 2.  However, the date placement of Obverse 8 is much lower and almost touching the denticles compared to Obverse 2.

Plate Coin:  Mike Shaver Collection, G6
