Die Crack from 8:30
Obverse 3.2 is observed with date placement at LE and die lines in the headdress just above RTY of LIBERTY.

Reverse A.2 has developed the following die crack:
1.  Light die crack from the rim at 8:30 throught the outer edge of the wreath to a point at 10:00.

Comments:  Variety 6 was previously in service during the proof 3 die pairing.

The above plate coin certainly looks as though it was a circulated proof, with the protected areas still retaining some proof surfaces.  In fact, my initial impression was that the above plate coin was a circulated proof. However, the slightly weak strike on the lower right half of the shield in conjunction with the die crack leads me to believe this was a business strike.

Plate coin:  Robert Malo, Jr., VF35
