Obverse 14 is observed with date placement at C and heavy die lines below the ear, under the jaw and through the eye. Obverse 14 develops the following light die cracks:
1. Die crack from the denticles at 5:15 connects the bottoms of the digits of the date and exits at 6:45.
2. Die crack connects the tops of 'UNITED STATES'.
3. Die crack upward from the denticles at 7:30 connects with die crack #2.
4. Die crack connects the tops of 'OF AMERICA'
Obv. 14.2: The die cracks of Obverse 14 have become bolder.

Reverse L develops the following die cracks:
1. Die crack from the rim at 3:00 downward through the right wreath.
2. Die crack in the right wreath at 3:30 extends upward from die crack #1.
3. Die crack from the rim at 7:45 extends through the olive leaves and into the ribbon knot.
4. Die crack from the second olive leaf extends upward from die crack #3.
5. Die crack from the rim at 8:45 upward through the outer edge of the left wreath.
6. Die crack from the rim at 11:30 to the top right of the shield.
Rev. L.2: Reverse L die cracks become bolder and a small die break forms where the lower edge of the top olive leaf meets the top edge of the lower olive leaf.
Rev. L.3: Reverse L now develops a die crack from the rim at 6:45 that extends upward through the arrow quill and intersects die crack #3.

Comments: Variety 12 and 12a were initially identified by this author during early April 2014.

Variety 12b was identified by this author during late July 2019.
