Obverse 1 is identified by date placement at B and date repunching that features initial date impressions to the east within the lower loop of the 8 and upper loop of the 9.  Obverse 1 has acquired clash marks from a clashing event with Reverse A, has developed heavy die flow lines and the following die cracks:
1.  Die crack connecting the tops of 'OF'.
2.  Die crack connecting the tops of '(AMERI)CA'.
3.  Die crack from the denticles at 9:30 downward connects the tops of 'UN(ITED)'.
4.  Die crack above 'ST(A)TES' connects the tops of 'STA(TE)S'.

Reverse A is in a similar die state as Obverse 1, with the advancement of heavy die flow lines.  Reverse A has acquired clash marks from a clashing event with Obverse 1 and has developed the following die cracks:
1.  Die crack segment through the outer edge of the right wreath between 2:45 and 3:45.
2.  Die crack from the denticles at 3:15 extends into the right wreath.

Comments:  Variety 2 represents the second usage of Obverse 1 and Reverse A, which were previously in service striking proof cents during the Proof 1 Die Pairing.
