Obverse 12 is identified by date placement at C and date repunching that features initial date impressions to the north within the lower loop of the second 8 digit as well as above and within the loop of the 5 digit.  Obverse 12 has acquired clash marks from a clashing event with Reverse L.

Reverse L has lightly cracked and has acquired clash marks from a clashing event with Obverse 12.

Comments:  The location and position of the initial date impressions of Obverse 12 are similar to that of Obverse 5 from the 1885 Variety 5 Die Pairing.

Variety 8 was first identified by this author during late May 2025.
