Obverse 32 is identified by date placement at C, die file marks from
the denticles above (AME)RICA, lighter die file marks above AMER(ICA)
and a pair of parallel die polish lines through S(T)ATES.
Obverse 32 has developed a rim break between 9:00 and 10:00.
Reverse AF has yet to be observed with any die markers.
Comments: Variety
29 was first identified by David Killough, who submitted the above
plate coin during late August 2019 for inclusion in this book based on
the rim break of Obverse 32.
Examination of Variety 29 reveals differing die states, with Obverse 32
exhibiting no die flow lines and Reverse AF
exhibiting light die flow lines. Based on the
contrasting die states of Obverse 32 and Reverse AF, it is clear that
Reverse AF was in service prior to Variety 29. The following
