Obverse 16 is identified by date placement at B, a die line within the denticles below the 3 digit of the date and date repunching that features initial date impressions to the north above the top, above the ball and above the lower loop of the 3.  Obverse 16 is observed with numerous die polish lines.
Obv. 16.2:  Obverse 16 has acquired heavy clash marks in front of the eye, above the first four feathers, between feathers 5, 6, 7, 8 and 9, above the 1 and 3 of the date and in front of the neck from a clashing event with Reverse P.

Reverse P is observed with numerous die polish lines as well as die lines located within the vertical shield bars.  Reverse P has acquired a light clash mark above (O)NE, presumably from a clashing event with Obverse 16.
Rev. P.2:   Reverse P has acquired heavy clash marks through (C)ENT, above and to the left of (O)NE and to the right of the denomination from a clashing event with Obverse 16.

Comments:  Variety 14 is characterized by numerous die polish lines that are evident on both Obverse 16 and Reverse P.  Although these die polish lines may appear to be light scratches from a past cleaning, they are in fact raised lines that were the result of the Mint polishing Obverse 16 and Reverse P.
