Date Position

Repunched 8

Obverse 19.2 Rim Break

Obverse 19 is identified by date placement at B, with date repunching that features an initial date impression to the west within the lower loop of the 8.  Obverse 19 has developed moderately heavy to heavy die flow lines.
Obv. 19.2:  Obverse 19 develops a rim break between 1:45 and 2:30.

Reverse S is in a similar die state as Obverse 19, with the advancement of moderately heavy to heavy die flow lines.

Comments:  Since the Obverse 19 initial date impressions are relatively wide from the final date placement, it is surprising that no other initial date impressions are evident around the other digits of the date.

Variety 17a was first identified by this author during mid June 2015.
