Reverse U.2 Die Flow Lines

Obverse 22 is identified by date placement at C and date repunching that features an initial date impression to the north within the lower loop of the 5.  Obverse 22 is in an early die state with the presence of die polish lines.
Obv. 22.2:  Obverse 22 has now developed heavy die flow lines and has acquired a clash mark in front of the eye of Miss Liberty from a clashing event with Reverse U.

Reverse U is in an early die state as Obverse 22, with the presence of die polish lines.
Rev. U.2:  Reverse U has now developed heavy die flow lines and has acquired a clash mark through the C of CENT from a clashing event with Obverse 22.

Comments:  In regard to the clash marks of Obverse 22 and Reverse U, I have assumed that the clashing event occurred after the Variety 18 die state and most definitely before the Variety 18a die state.  As I had only images of the Variety 18 plate coin, I did not notice any clash marks visible on the images provided.

Variety 18a was first identified by David Killough, who submitted the Variety 18a plate coin below during mid January 2018.
