Obverse 38 is identified by date placement at LH and date repunching that features an initial date impression within the lower loop of the 9.  Obverse 38 has developed heavy die flow lines and has acquired a clash mark in front of the eye of Miss Liberty from a clashing event with Reverse AK.

Reverse AK is in a similar die state as Obverse 38, with the advancement of heavy die flow lines.  Reverse AK has acquired clash marks to the left of the denomination and through (C)ENT from a clashing event with Obverse 38.

Comments:  Variety 35 was first identified by David Killough, who submitted the above plate coin during late August 2019 for inclusion in this book based on the date repunching of Obverse 38.
