Obverse 6 is identified by date placement at RE, die line from feather 6 to 'A(M)ERICA', and date repunching that features initial date impressions to the east and south of the base of the 1; to the east and west within the lower loop, to the east and southwest of the base of the first 8; to the east within the upper and lower loops of the 9; to the east within the lower loop of the final 8.  Obverse 6 has acquired clash marks in front of the eye of Miss Liberty and between feathers 7, 8 and 9 from a clashing event with Reverse G.

Reverse G is rotated 8 degrees clockwise and has acquired clash marks above (0)NE, through (C)ENT and to the right of the denomination from a clashing event with Obverse 6.

Comments:  The Obverse 6 initial date impressions located to the south below the base of the 1, to the west within the lower loop and to the southwest of the base of the first 8 and to the east within the lower loop of the final 8 were previously unidentified prior to publication in this book.

Variety 1 received two separate initial date impressions prior to the final dae placement, with one impression located to the southwest with respect to the final date placement and the second impression located to the east of the final date placement.

The Variety 1 die rotation of 8 degrees is a static rotational attribute of this die pairing and was evident during the clashing event between Obverse 6 and Reverse G.
