Obverse 35 is identified by date placement at LE and date repunching that features initial date impressions to the east within the lower loop of the first 8 and two separate initial date impressions to the east within the lower loop of the 9.  Obverse 35 has acquired clash marks in front of the eye and above the first three feathers from a clashing event with Reverse AJ.  Obverse 35 has developed moderately heavy to heavy die flow lines.
Obv. 35.2:  Obverse 35 has developed a small die break atop the eighth feather.

Reverse AJ is in a similar die state as Obverse 35, with the advancement of moderately heavy to heavy die flow lines.  Reverse AJ has acquired a clash mark through the C of CENT from a clashing event with Obverse 35.

Comments:  During mid February 2019, Paul Nomes submitted a second example of Variety 30 that featured a small die break atop the eighth feather.  The development of the eighth feather die break is a recurring theme for later date indian cents and is observed on many obverses.  Paul's coin exhibits the beginning of what may potentially become a larger die break during a subsequent die state and has been assigned the Variety 30a die pairing number in order to capture the Obverse 35 die state.

While examining Pauls's submission, I identified a previously unidentified second initial date impression within the lower loop of the 9 that is only slightly to the east compared to the bolder initial date impression.  It should be noted that the two initial date impressions within the lower loop of the 9 were the result of two separate initial date impressions.
