Obverse 45 is identified by date placement at RH and date repunching that features an initial date impression to the north within the lower loop of the 9.  Obverse 45 has acquired a clash mark in front of the eye of Miss Liberty from a clashing event with Reverse AT.

Reverse AT is observed with heavy die die lines above the shield and has acquired a clash mark through the C of CENT from a clashing event with Obverse 45.

Comments:  Variety 40 was first identified by David Killough, who submitted the above plate coin during mid January 2018 for inclusion in this book based on the Obverse 45 date repunching.
