Obverse 51 is identified by date placement at LH and date repunching
that features initial date impressions to the south within both loops
of the first 8, within the upper loop of the 9 and upper loop of the
final 8. Obverse 51 was struck from slightly misaligned working dies.
Reverse AZ has yet to be observed with any die markers.
Comments:
Variety 46 was first identified by David Killough, who submitted
the above plate coin during late July 2018 for inclusion in this book
based on the Obverse 51 date repunching.
