Clash Mark Through The C Of CENT

Obverse 56 is identified by date placement at C and the tops of misplaced 1, 8 and 9 digits in the denticles below and to the left of the primary 1, 8 and 9 digits of the date.  Obverse 56 has developed moderately heavy die flow lines and has acquired a clash mark in front of the eye of Miss Liberty from a clashing event with Reverse AAE.

Reverse AAE is in a similar die state as Obverse 56, with the advancement of moderately heavy die flow lines.  Reverse AAE has acquired a clash mark through the C of CENT from a clashing event with Obverse 56.

Comments:  The misplaced digits of Obverse 56 are the result of a misplaced digit punch impression into the denticles that was positioned far to the southwest with a rotation of 6 degrees clockwise with respect to the final date placement.

During mid November 2018, David Killough submitted the above plate coin based on the Obverse 56 misplaced digits in the denticles.  Upon examination of David's coin, I was able to determine that his coin was struck from a previously identified die pairing that was initially discovered by Kevin Flynn and listed as MPD-007.
