Reverse Die Crack at 9:00

Obverse 26 is observed with date placement at LH and a possible misplaced digit in the denticles below the 0 of the date.  Obverse 26 is in a later die state, with die flow lines visible in the fields and small rim breaks located at the lower half of the obverse.

Reverse AA is rotated 7 degrees clockwise and is in a similar die state as Obverse 26, with die flow lines visible in the fields.  In addition, a radial die crack is observed from the rim at 9:00 into the wreath. Light clash mark from the forehead of Miss Liberty is visible by the C of CENT.

Comments:  The misplaced digit of Variety 27 is most likely the top of a 0, with the location of the misplaced digit defined only by the area between two denticles.

Plate Coin:  D. Poliquin, AU55
