Obverse 31 is identified by date placement at C and date repunching that features initial date impressions to the west within the lower loop of the 9 and to the north within the 0 and lower loop of the 3.  Obverse 31 has developed moderately heavy to heavy die flow lines.

Reverse AF is in a similar die state as Obverse 31, with the advancement of moderately heavy to heavy die flow lines.

Comments:  The Obverse 31 initial date impression within the 0 may not be visible on lower circulated examples.

Variety 32 was first identified by David Killough, who submitted the above plate coin during mid May 2018 for inclusion in this book based on the Obverse 31 date repunching.  David's submission included two examples of Variety 32 that were in similar die states.
