Obverse 27 is identified by date placement at LH, misplaced 907 digits in the denticles below and to the right of the primary 907 digits of the date and date repunching that features initial date impressions to the south below the bases of the 190, as well as under the flag of the 7.

Reverse AA has yet to be observed with any die markers.

Comments:  Prior to publication in this book, the Obverse 27 misplaced digits were identified as a misplaced 9 and 0 below the primary 07 of the date.  However, this author discovered the top of a well concealed 9 digit below and to the right of the primary 9 of the date.  A Subsequent digit punch overlay confirms that Obverse 27 exhibits an initial digit punch impression in the denticles to the southeast and at an angle of 3 degrees clockwise with respect to the final date placement.

During early November 2019, this author identified date repunching of Obverse 27 while upgrading the Variety 25 page with a higher grade plate coin.  The associated initial date impressions are located to the south of the bases of the 190 and to the south below the flag of the 7.  The repunching of the 7 is identified by an indentation within the flag, which is the result of an initial digit punch impression.  Lower grade examples may not exhibit the initial date impressions below the bases of the 1 and 9.

Plate coin:  D. Poliquin Collection, AU55
