Clash Mark Through The C Of CENT


Obverse 73 is identified by date placement at RE and date repunching that features an initial date impression below the base of the 7.

Reverse AAT has acquired a clash mark through the C of CENT and develops the following die cracks:
1.  Die crack from the rim at 2:15 downward through the right wreath.
2.  Light die crack from the rim at 3:30 into the right wreath.
3.  Die crack from the rim at 6:30 through the arrow quill and olive leaves and upward through the left wreath.
4.  Light die crack from the rim at 10:00 upward through the left wreath.

Comments:  Variety 71 was first identified by David Killough, who submitted the above plate coin during mid May 2018 for inclusion in this book based on the Obverse 73 date repunching.
