Reverse AAAJ Die Crack Mapping


Obverse 89 is identified by date placement at LE and date repunching that features initial date impressions to the norhwest above the top, to the left of the upright and above the left base of the 1.

Reverse AAAI has developed the following die cracks:
1.  Light die crack from the denticles at 3:30 downward through the middle and lower arrowheads.
2.  Light die crack from the denticles at 5:15 upward through the ribbon knot and through the lower olive leaf.
3.  Light die crack segment connecting the lower and middle olive leaves.
4.  Light die crack from the denticles at 8:15 upward along the outer edge of the left wreath.
5.  Light die crack from the denticles at 10:45 downward along the outer edge of the left wreath.

Comments:  Variety 87 was first identified by David Killough, who submitted the above plate coin during late August 2019 for inclusion in this book based on the date repunching of Obverse 89.
