Obverse 67 is identified by date placement located at left half of denticle, a digit punch artifact above the base of the 2 digit and a die file mark below the ear of Miss Liberty.

Reverse AAO has yet to be observed with any die markers.

Comments:  The Obverse 67 die file mark is similar to the die file mark of Obverse 10 of the 1862 Variety 8 Die Pairing, though the file mark of Obverse 10 is much longer and extends toward the south compared to the Obverse 67 die file mark which is much shorter and extends toward the southwest.

Variety 65 was first identified by John Grimmer, who submitted the above plate coin during late May 2026 for inclusion in this book based on the die file mark of Obverse 67.
