Type II Reverse C Die Crack Mapping

Obverse 4 is observed with date placement at LE.

Type II reverse C develops a retained cud between 3:15 and 5:00.  Type II revere C develops the following die cracks:
1.  Die crack from the northern section of the retained cud upward into the wreath.
2.  Die crack from the rim at 8:00 upward through the wreath to the denticles at 10:00.

Comments:  Type II variety 1 was first brought to my attention during late October 2016 by the above plate coin listed in the inventory of Brian Greer.  Brian was extremely kind in allowing me to use his images to illustrate variety 1 for this book.

Plate coin:  Brian Greer, PCGS AU50
