Obverse 7 Die Crack Mapping

Obverse 7 is identified by date placement at C and date repunching that features initial date impressions to the north within the lower loop of the first 8 and within both loops of the second 8.  Obverse 7 has developed heavy die flow lines and the following die cracks:
1.  Die crack from 12:45 downward through the tops of 'OF' and extending to the denticles at 2:00.
2.  Die crack from the denticles at 4:00 upward connecting A(MER)ICA.
3.  Die crack from the denticles at 5:30 connecting the bases of the first and second 8 digits of the date.
4.  Die crack from the denticles at 6:45 upward connecting the tops of 'AMERICA' and (ST)ATES.

Reverse H has developed light to moderately heavy die flow lines.

Comments:  Obverse 7 and Reverse H exhibit contrasting die states, with Obverse 7 observed with heavy die flow lines and Reverse H exhibiting light to moderately heavy die flow lines.  The difference in die state between Obverse 7 and Reverse H indicates that Obverse 7 was in service prior to Variety 5.  The following illustrates the difference in die state between Obverse 7 and Reverse H:
