Obverse 7 is identified by date placement at RE, die chip below the jaw, defective 1 digits and broken top first 8.  Obverse 7 has developed moderately heavy to heavy die flow lines.

Reverse G is in a similar die state as Obverse 7, with the advancement of moderately heavy to heavy die flow lines.

Comments:  Variety 7 was first identified by David Killough, who submitted the above plate coin during late July 2017.  Upon examination of David's coin, the first and last 1 digits are a product of a defective digit punch and not to be confused with broken digits.  However, the first 8 does exhibit a broken top.  The broken top 8 will appear on other 1881 obverse working dies that were impressed with this digit punch.

Plate coin:  David Killough Collection, XF45 details (Snow 9 Plate Coin)
