Die Crack From 11:30 To 12:30

Reverse N.2 Retained Cud


Obverse 14 is identified by date placement at C and date repunching that features initial date impressions to the north within both loops of the first 8 and within the upper loop of the second 8.

Reverse N has developed a heavy die crack from the rim at 11:30, through the top of the shield and into the rim at 12:30.
1.  Reverse N now develops a retained cud between 11:30 and 12:30.

Comments:  The Obverse 14 initial date impression within the lower loop of the first 8 was identified and confirmed by this author during publication of the Variety 10a die state.

Variety 10a was first identified by this author during mid September 2018.
