Reverse AQ Die Crack Mapping

Obverse 43 is observed with date placement at LE.

Reverse AQ has developed the following die cracks:
1.  Light die crack from the upper right side of the shield intersects die crack #2.
2.  Die crack from the lower arrowhead extends upward through the right wreath and exits at 12:45.
3.  Die crack from the rim at 2:45 extends into the right wreath.
4.  Die crack from the rim at 7:30 extends into the middle olive leaf, where it splits into two die cracks.  The first die crack extends downward through the olive leaves and left  ribbon end, where it continues into the denticles at 6:00.  The second die crack extends upward through the left wreath to a point at 10:15.
5.  Die crack from the denticles at 9:45 extends into the left wreath.
6.  Light die crack from the upper left side of the shield extends into the denticles at 11:00.

Comments:  Variety 41 represents the initial usage of Reverse AQ, which will later be paired with Obverse 44 from the 1888 Variety 42 Die Pairing.

Variety 41 was first identified by David Killough, who submitted the above plate coin during mid May 2020 for inclusion in this book based on the die cracking of Reverse AQ.
