Line from T of CENT to Wreath


Obverse 7 is identified by repunching to the east at the right side of the bases of the 1897, with date placement at LH.  Obverse 7 has developed a rim break between 6:30 and 7:00.

Reverse G is observed with a line extending from the right side of the T of CENT extending upward to the northeast into the right wreath.

Comments:  Rick Snow of Eagle Eye Rare Coins was extremely kind in allowing me to use his images to illustrate Variety 5 for this book.  The above plate coin represents the finest known example of this die pairing thus far.
