Obverse 8 is identified by date placement at center of denticle and date repunching that features initial date impressions to the south of the primary date placement below the serif and base of the 1 digit as well as below the base of the 8 digit.
Obvere 8.2: The surfaces of Obverse 8 have deteriorated, which has rendered the second initial date impression below the serif of the 1 digit less distinct compared to the earlier die state of Obverse 8. In addition, Obverse 8 has developed a small die break atop the eighth feather. .

Reverse H is observed with die lines on the surface and artifacts among the vertical shield bars.
Rev. H.2: The surfaces of Reverse H have deteriorated.

Comments: The Variety 3 Die Pairing has neither clashed nor cracked during its service leading up to and including the Variety 3a Die State.
