Obverse 16 is identified by date placement at RH and date repunching that features initial date impressions to the south below the base of the 1 digit; to the northwest within both loops and to the south below the base of the 8 digit; to the south within the upper loop and to the east of the ball of the first 9 digit; to the northeast within both loops of the second 9 digit.  Obverse 16 is observed with a raised artifact by the forehead of Miss Liberty and artifacts among the denticles below both 9 digits.

Reverse I is rotated 5 degrees clockwise.

Comments:  Examination of Variety 11 reveals a more heavily flow lined Reverse P in contrast to Obverse 16.  This contrast in die state between Obverse 16 and Reverse P indicates that Reverse P was in service prior to Variety 11.  The following illustrates the die state difference between Obverse 16 and Reverse P:
