Die Subsidence Below Right Ribbon End


Obverse 36 is identified by date placement at RE and date repunching that features initial date impressions to the south below the serif of the 1 and to the northwest within the lower loop of the final 9.  Obverse 36 has acquired clash marks in front of the eye of Miss Liberty from a clashing event with Reverse AJ.

Reverse AJ is rotated approximately 8 degrees clockwise and is observed with die subsidence below the right ribbon end.  Reverse AJ has acquired a clash mark through (C)ENT from a clashing event with Obverse 36.

Comments:  The Obverse 36 repunched 1 was previously unidentified prior to publication in this book.
