Die Anomalies Below The Lowest Arrowhead

Obverse 21 is identified by date placement at C and the top of a misplaced 1 digit in the denticles below and to the left of the primary 1 of the date.  Obverse 21 has developed moderately heavy die flow lines.
Obv. 21.2:  Obverse 21 die flow lines have now become heavier.

Reverse U is rotated 6 degrees clockwise and is in a similar die state as Obverse 21, with the advancement of moderately heavy die flow lines.  Reverse U is observed with three small raised areas under the bottom edge of the lowest arrowhead.
Rev. U.2:  Reverse U die flow lines have now become heavier.

Comments:  The Obverse 21 misplaced 1 digit was most likely the remnant of an initial misaligned digit punch impression that was positioned southwest and rotated approximtely 25 degrees clockwise with respect to the final date impression.  The 25 degrees clockwise rotation of the initial digit punch impression would preclude the remaining three digits from being impressed into the working die, which would explain why Obverse 21 has only one misplaced digit in the denticles.
