Obverse 84 is identified by date placement at B and date repunching
that features initial date impressions to the south below the serif and
base of the 1, to the south below the base of the 9, to the north
within the 0 and to the north within the lower loop of the 6.
Obverse 84 has developed moderately heavy to heavy die flow lines.
Reverse AAAH is in a similar die state as Obverse 84, with the
advancement of moderately heavy to heavy die flow lines. Reverse
AAAH has acquired a clash mark through the C of CENT and has developed
the following die crack: 1. Die Crack from the rim at 3:30 downward through the oak leaves.
Comments: Variety 85 was
first identified by David Killough, who submitted the above plate coin
during mid November 2018 for inclusion in this book based on the
Obverse 84 date repunching.
