Obverse 14 is identified by date placement at B with an upward sloped
date and date repunching that features an initial date impression to
the south below the base of the 7. A die polish line located
on the left side of the 7 and a quatrter of the way upward from the
base connects the 0 and 7 digits of the date.
Reverse N was struck from slightly misaligned working dies and has yet
to be observed with any die markers.
Comments: I
have yet to find Variety 12 in a late die state or exhibit die
clashing.
Variety 12 may be differentiated from several similar 1907 obverses by
a die polish line that connects the 0 and 7 digits of the date.
