Reverse H.2 Die Crack Mapping

Reverse H.2 Die Crack From C(E)NT

Obverse 8 is observed with date placement at LE.
Obv. 8.2:  Obverse 8 has developed a die crack from the denticles at 9:45 downward to UNITE(D).
Obv. 8.3:  The Obvere 8 die crack has now become heavier and extends past the upper serif of UNITE(D).

Reverse H is identified by Class IV Offset Hub Doubling of the vertical shield bars, ON(E) and CEN(T), oak leaves, ribbon bow and arrows.
Rev. H.2:  Reverse H has developed the following die cracks:
1.  Die crack from C(E)NT downward into the ribbon knot.
2.  Die crack segment at the outer oak leaf at 10:00.
3.  Die crack from the denticles at 10:30 upward through the left wreath to the denticles at 11:15.
4.  Die crack from the denticles at 11:30 into the left side of the shield.

Comments:  The Reverse H hub doubling is similar to the hub doubling of Reverse G from the 1862 Variety 5 Die Pairing, though Reverse H features Class IV Offset Hub Doubling and Reverse G features Class V Pivot Hub Doubling.  Reverse G and Reverse H may be differentiated from one another by the orientation of the doubling of the ribbon bow.
