Reverse AK.2 Die Crack Mapping

Obverse 14 identified by date placement at B and date repunching that features two initial date impressions to the north within the lower loop and one initial impression above right of the lower loop of the 6 as well as to the north above the horizontal bar of the 4.  Obverse 14 is observed with a prominent die line from the rim at 3:30 into AME(R)ICA and  has acquired a clash mark in front of the eye of Miss Liberty from a clashing event with Reverse AK.  Obverse 14 has developed the following die crack:
1.  Die crack from the lower hair curl downward into the 8 of the date.

Reverse AK is identified by a die artifact on the olive leaf to the left of the olive.  Reverse AK has acquired clash marks above (O)NE, through (C)ENT and to the right of the denominaton from a clashing event with Obverse 14.  Reverse AK has developed the following die cracks:
1.  Light die crack from the rim at 3:45 upward through the right wreath.
2.  Light die crack from the rim at 3:45 through the middle arrowhead and shaft, ribbon, knot and olive leaves.
3.  Light die crack from the rim at 9:00 downward through the left wreath to the olive leaves.
4.  Light radial die crack from the rim at 9:00 into the left wreath.
5.  Light die crack from the rim at 10:45 downward through the left wreath.
Rev. AK.2:  The die cracks of Reverse AK have now become more severe.

Comments:  During early April 2019, Paul Nomes submitted an earlier die state example of Variety 14 that featured lighter Reverse AK die cracking than the former plate coin.  As a result, Paul's coin is now the Variety 14 Plate Coin, while the former plate coin now represents the 14a die state in order to capture the more severe Reverse AK die cracking.
