The second usage of Obverse 24. Obverse 24 is identified by
date placement at RH and the tops of a
misplaced 8 and 4 digit within the denticles below the primary second 8
and 4 of the date. Obverse 24 has developed a die chip by
'AMERI(C)A'. Obverse 24 has now developed die erosion by the
first feather and more noticeable working die flow lines compared to
the first usage of Obverse 24, though the die crack has not changed
appreciably:
1. Light die crack connecting the tops of 'U(NITED)'.
Reverse K has yet to be observed with any die markers.
Comments: Obverse 24 was previously in service paired with Reverse F during the 1884 Variety 6 Die Pairing.
