Obverse Diagnostics
Date Position | Repunched 9 to the East and North |
Obverse
3 is identified by repunching in the lower loop of the 9 to the east and to the north. Date position for obverse 3 is C.
Reverse
C is yet to be observed with any die markers, other than the shield
points connected to the denticles and the olive leaf away from the
denticles.
Comments: Variety
1 was first disovered by this author during mid June 2015 during the
Manchester, New hampshire Coin Expo. The repunching of obverse 3
is very similar to that of obverse 26 of the 1907 variety 24 die pairing.
