Die Crack From 4:15


Obverse 11 is identified by date placement at RE and date repunching that features initial date impressions to the south within both loops and under the left side of the upper loop of the 8, as well as to the south within the lower loop of the 6.  Obverse 11 has acquired clash marks from a clashing event with Reverse AG.

Reverse AG has acquired clash marks from a clashing event with Obverse 11 and has developed the following die crack:
1.  Die crack from the rim at 4:15 extends across through the lower arrowhead, right ribbon end and wreath stem to the ribbon knot.

Comments:   Variety 10 represents the initial usage of Obverse 11, which will later be paired with Reverse AZ during the 1864 With L Variety 24 Die Pairing.
